WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Provides planning, analysis, implementation and testing of complex operating system software upgrades or new releases and assess any impact to other software products being utilized.
  • Provides support and management of current infrastructure tools.
  • Interfaces with appropriate IT staff or vendor during installation and in resolution of any problems.
  • Provides technical expertise in the analysis and resolution of complex problems and takes appropriate action to ensure maintenance of stated performance objectives to maximize system availability and minimize response time.
  • Provides appropriate documentation/reports to management.
  • Provides comprehensive on-call support for assigned operating system(s) and software products in event of production malfunctions.
  • Works with all IT staff and clients to determine the impact of new or revised applications on existing systems software.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) OSD (Operating System Deployment).
  • Knowledge of Windows 7 to Windows 10 enterprise migration tools.
  • Troubleshooting and support, SCCM, Desktop Images, McAfee, Virtual Images, Wyse terminals.
  • Advanced knowledge of end user computing environment, Microsoft Active Directory and GPOs.
  • Knowledge of security requirements and audit responses. Specific DoD, NISTa plus.
  • Administer various tools such as: McAfee Antivirus via EPO, PowerBroker for Windows, Equitrac Print Management, JAMF Pro Mac Management, Microsoft SCCM, VMWare vSphere, Dell Cloud Client Manager (Wyse Management Suite), Citrix, Active Directory tools.
  • Experience in End Point engineering and support activities including but not limited to
  • Microsoft SCCM Operating System Deployment (OSD)
  • Microsoft SCCM Infrastructure Design
  • Microsoft BitLocker disk and endpoint removable media encryption
  • ManageEngine EventLog Analyzer
  • Microsoft SCCM Software packaging and deployment
  • Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Computer hardware settings and best practices
  • Office 365 deployment technical troubleshooting
