WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Technical responsibility for all electrical design and analysis aspects of Gas Turbine Ignition System and Airframe Power product lines from preliminary through detail design phase
  • Direct Electrical Designer in development of reliable electrical solutions to requested Design Input requirements for Ignition Exciters, Power Supplies and Magneto Product Lines. 
  • Assist in the development of the required electrical schematic(s) during preliminary design phase.  Perform initial circuit analysis focusing on I/O requirements, component electrical/thermal margins and EMI compatibility.
  • Ensure appropriate packaging and work with Exciter Development Lab on any troubleshooting considerations.
  • Validate new components and circuitry prior to selection. Assist in development of reliability test plans.
  • Participate in internal Design Reviews, provide Circuit Analysis in support of Critical Design Reviews.
  • Reconcile inaccuracies, validate component model shortcomings, and implement corrective action in component model and simulation techniques.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. Master's in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Functional background in Power Electronics/Systems is highly desired.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in an Electrical Design environment required.
  • Experience with AC/DC, DC/DC and High Voltage Circuits (2kv and above) is desired. 
  • Proven Circuit Analysis proficiency using SPICE software is a must.
  • 2D/3D CAD proficiency desired.
