WHERE THE POSITION IS LOCATED:

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Provide patch packaging and distribution for an enterprise desktop environment utilizing SCCM and scripting tools like PowerShell or other applications and tools
  • Schedule and administer related change control process from initial input to final distribution
  • Continually drive improvements including process waste reduction and automation
  • Support application packaging and distribution to include reporting, incident response, and advanced trouble shooting
  • Act as operating system and third-party patching Subject Matter Expert to business users, senior management, security, and other associates/teams
  • Create and follow documented procedures
  • Engineer Workstation policies and configurations with SCCM, Active Directory GPOs, Ivanti User Workspace Manager and PowerShell to manage and maintain Windows desktop operating environment.
  • Leverage SCCM and SQL Reporting to develop and implement SCCM database reports and queries to support projects, operational processes, and end point system health.
  • Diagnose advanced and difficult Windows OS desktop and productivity application and internet browser issues at an advanced support level.
  • Provide training and knowledge sharing to internal engineering, support, and business associates.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ desktop patching experience from initial patch download to distribution
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with SCCM
  • Minimum of one (1) year scripting experience (i.e. VB, PowerShell, Bash, Shell)
