Job Description

• $3.5 billion services company in South Charlotte
• Aggressive growth to include strategic acquisitions

• Approximately 600 service locations in the US and Canada; provides greater opportunities for career growth and development as the company continues to grow and sets the standard for operations in this industry
• GREAT leadership team; open door policy with lots of energy and ideas
• Large company in terms of revenue, locations and employees (10,000) - large corporate office (350) BUT still small enough to get to know the people you work with, not just a "number"

• Ability to be noticed/promoted/make an impact; not an organization where everything has already been decided and you just plug-n-play and follow an SOP and have no input

• Ground up build the BI platform including vendor selection, hiring, management and budget
• Document and manage priorities and expectations with the business stake holders; present to executive leadership
• Help define and evangelize the BI strategy
• Come up with short and long term plans to provide visibility to metrics for the business leadership teams and external customers
• Lead engineering projects and manage the workload of data engineers, assigning tasks and ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
• Architect, manage and implement data warehouses for different systems and lines of business
• Manage third party vendors and RFP processes around BI system implementations
• Design and implement data models to fit the internal business reporting needs
• Be passionate about new technologies and products with the willingness to keep on learning

• Ideally seeking 10+ years of experience managing IT resources and building BI programs
• Some background education in computer science or engineering
• Extensive experience with BI tools ideally exposure to Hyperion, Power BI or Cognos
• Strong experience having led the implementation of one or multiple data warehouses
• Energetic, self-starter with the ability to prioritize
• Excellent communication skills and can collaborate well with peers and business users
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast paced environment with a high sense of urgency
• Passionate about developing quality BI tools
• Relevant big data experience A PLUS
